Hartlepool manager Danny Wilson has given goalkeeper Jan Budtz a vote of confidence after his return to the starting line-up.Arran Lee-Barrett is Pools' current number one, but he was handed a three-game ban following an incident in the FA Cup clash at Fleetwood in which he appeared to strike Lee Hunt with his right arm.

That has presented Budtz with the opportunity to stake a claim for the jersey, and Wilson told the club's official website: "Jan's performance (in the goalless draw against Yeovil) was very encouraging.

"His handling was very good and he filled himself and the rest of the team with confidence."
