Veteran Spanish midfielder Inigo Idiakez, formerly of Derby and Southampton, is training with League Two strugglers Bournemouth.Idiakez, 35, has not played this season due to an Achilles injury which has sidelined him for the past five months.

However, Cherries boss Jimmy Quinn revealed the veteran playmaker could be in line to earn a contract with his side.

Quinn told the Bournemouth Daily Echo: "From what I've been told, all the signs are good but I need to have a look with my own eyes to see what he's all about and find out a bit more about him.

"I've agreed to have a look at him in training over the next week or two and hopefully in a reserve game. We'll have a look and then make a decision for January."
