A hat-trick from striker Peter Thorne resulted in Bradford running out deserved winners, routing Notts County 3-0 at Valley Parade.Thorne's first goal came after 34 minutes when he applied the finishing touch from close range after the visitors defence had failed to clear Paul Evans' inswinging corner.
The striker put Bradford two up after 58 minutes with a first-time shot from another Evans' corner and completed his hat-trick in the last minute with a first-time shot from Joe Colbeck's cross.
The Magpies, who are without a win in six matches, produced their best effort in stoppage time when keeper Donovan Ricketts did well to keep out a fierce 20-yard shot from Richard Butcher.
