Bayern Munich showed the winter break has taken away none of their edge with a 7-2 demolition of the Chinese Olympic team.
The Beijing 2008 hosts were battered by the Bundesliga leaders, playing in front of Juergen Klinsmann who will take over as first team coach at the end of the season.
Bayern played with all of their main stars - apart from Franck Ribery who is on paternity leave - and were in front within 60 seconds when Miroslav Klose hit the target.
Mal Ting Zhu quickly equalised but goals from Mark van Bommel, Bastian Schweinsteiger and a We-Feng Li own goal made the half-time score 4-1.
Toni Kroos, Luca Toni and Jan Schlaudraff completed the rout, although Li grabbed another for the visitors.
The China side were involved in an infamous brawl during a match with Queen's Park Rangers and have been dogged by numerous disciplinary controversies.
