The 24-year-old has made a huge impact since a £100,000 move from League Two Chester almost a year ago and is reportedly attracting interest from Premier League clubs.

His absence from the team in the FA Cup tie sparked rumours he was away negotiating a move, although this later turned out to be false as he was suffering with a bug.

He told the Ipswich Evening Star: "It did amuse me when I heard all the rumours but I knew when I couldn't make the match there would be some sort of wild speculation.

"That was bound to happen but of course there was never any truth in any of it at all. I'm completely happy at Ipswich and settled.

"When a player is happy it shows on the football pitch and you look forward to going to work every day. Of course I want to play in the Premier League but I am patient enough to wait."
