Northampton captain Chris Doig is set to make his long-awaited comeback from injury when he lines up for the Cobblers in a reserves clash.The 27-year-old has endured a frustrating season so far, starting just 10 League One games, and has been out since picking up a hamstring injury at Leeds in November.

Ian Sampson's reserve side will play their first game of 2009 when they welcome Colchester to Sixfields on Tuesday and Doig is expected to start.
