Formula One constructors' world champions Ferrari have all but ruled out supplying engines to whoever takes over Honda.
"The chance of us supplying engines to Honda is close to zero," team boss Stefano Domenicali said at Ferrari's 2009 car launch.
Ferrari had said earlier this month that they would be prepared to supply engines to any new owners but no deal was in place.
Japanese manufacturer Honda stunned the sport a month ago when they announced they were pulling out both as a constructor and engine provider due to the world financial crisis.
The Brackley-based team, run by former Ferrari technical director Ross Brawn and chief executive Nick Fry, have said they are considering some 12 serious offers with 'global players' among those interested.
However they are running out of time, with the season opening in Australia on March 29.

Satch- Thank you, a rare moment of intelligence from me. Make the most of people it ain't going to happen again for a while!

Even if I'd tried (and I do know all the info you mentioned), I couldn't have written that post any better.
Very well said and put across.
On a bit of an aside from this, but kind of related, has anyone else read on Pitpass the ferociously scathing dissection of Honda under Nick Fry?
Why is it that perfectly valid comments get blocked but rubbish like this:-

Rav, well done. A brilliantly ill informed, short sighted comment there. You clearly don't remember over half a car worth of Ferrari data been found on the network (and actually in use!) at the Toyota F1 head quarters a few years back. Or that the two found to be the culprits, before they actually admitted it, were the two ex Ferrari employees. You can bet there was also Renault data there too, only covered up well, as Mike Gasgcoine went to work there from Renault. The FIA have worked very hard to sweep under the carpet all the other incidents from the last few years in order to try and project their integrity over the Mclaren prosecution. Well done for buying it.
Well what was all that nonsense a few days ago about supplying Honda with engines?
Rav, the only time their details end up in MacLarens hands is when senior Ferrari personnel hand it over.
maybe they realised they wouldn't be able to get the Honda Kers details so pulled out of the agreement.
The scuderia cannot afford to be copied all the time. It always ends up in McLaren's hands, one way or another. Good decision, Ferrari!
Thats ominous. Perhaps Mercedes will oblige.
