Hearts stunned Edinburgh rivals Hibernian 2-0 on their own patch in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
Christian Nade scored a close-range opening goal in the 38th minute for Hearts from Andrew Driver's low cross, ending a lean spell in front of goal for the former Sheffield United striker.
That goal came soon after Hibs striker Steven Fletcher was sent off for a late tackle on visiting captain Christophe Berra.
Hibs never looked in the game after the red card, but at 1-0 always stood a chance of snatching an equaliser.
That knowledge sparked joyous scenes on the touchline from manager Csaba Laszlo when Gary Glen tapped into an open goal three minutes into injury-time.
He raced on to a Christos Karipidis through-ball and, getting to the ball just before Yves Ma-Kalambay, walked it around the falling Jambos goalkeeper before tapping home.
Glen then slid on his knees on the slippery, muddy surface to celebrate with the ecastatic Hearts fans behind the goal.
Fletcher had missed a one-on-one chance in the minutes before his rash challenge began a miserable afternoon for the Hibs fans inside Easter Road.
Hearts will now host Falkirk in the fifth round.
Meanwhile, Dundee United will travel to face Hamilton in an all SPL clash after an easy 4-0 win at East Stirlingshire.
Goals from Prince Buaben, Darren Dodds, Jon Daly and a Johnny Russell penalty secured the win.

fletchers card will still stand, the spl have ALREADY made a statment saying that the card was justfied. if zali's card stood after the dons game what on earth makes you think that fletchers card will get changed. no chance your now clutching at straws.
can i also remind you that the only team in the spl who is totally debt free and thats st mirran, bare in mind thay are also just finished building a new stadium, the rest of the spl could learn a thing or two from thier example. keep an eye on the club finances which is released in the first week in april, im willing to bet that our clubs debt has fallen in the last 12 months.
wages are now paid monthly(you wont hear anymore on that subject). as for visiting hibs sites there is nothing that would interest me mate yes i go onto jambos kickback, i love winding up the old firm fans on some sites but that just reminds me how easy influinsed thay are. as for court cases are you sure your not a jambo cos apparnently you know more about hearts than most jambos. i would love to see the sites your getting your info from.
look at the paper tonight the red card has ben appealed and your manager says he didnt think it warented a red card as ive said craigy its over lets move on
listen to it every night mate hearts were the better team ewan is a jambo says it all ive listened to you on all the hearts sights and even on the hibs sights and agreed with you on a lot i even thought you were talking scence for a jambo but mate you are now disolusioned lets face facts 1 hearts have 3 court cases between now and may 2the court cases are that they have purchased two prime site buildings for a A hotel B a bank both buldings cost £6.8m they are now in a state of repair to the value of £18.4m the nursery behind tynie is awaitin £1.2m you are failing to pay your players on time due to admin mistakes (dont think so) and the icing on the cake £5.2 m water bill that hasnt been paid but they have been given a payment deal (great )by the way they havent met the second payment watch this space i work for the same watter board o i also support the same diddy team that might not be in the scottish cup and ye we might be pish but we are dept free in the top six maybe you should think of that when mad vlad pisses you down the river
listen to the real football phone in tonight cos last night was priceless
like ive said it doesnt matter any more mate its done and dusted lets lok forward to our next game and next debate on how good or how pants our teams were cheers m8t
kenny clark has made it public that fletcher card stands and would stand anywhere in europe.
craigy i hope they do but they will need to play a lot better than they did on sunday they were terrible which shows how bad hibs were mate
falkirk will turn us over, ill crack the jokes mate. at the moment they cant turn a f88king corner. big yogi's boys are going to have there arse's kicked by kings come feb mate.
and riordan should have been sent off for his stupid gesture as should driver and nade for there gestures to the hibs fans when they scored
just watched the hibs hearts game again and berra is a f****** cheat fletcher goes in for the tackle his studs get stuck and he made minimal contact the ref is standing about 5 yards away he is a disgrace to his shirt when hibs appeal this will be over turned to a yellow card hearts were better in the second half and were the deserved winners but if they play that way against falkirk they will be out nade was a little better but is still one of the worst players i have seen in a hearts jumper
Dirty horrible team those hearts lads!
Its just good to be in the next round. Think we r both pretty poor at the moment but at least Hearts showed they can play without Kingston and Aguiur. C'mon the Jambos!
craigy a hard draw but if hearts play like they did today falkirk will win easy but in all honesty as long as you beat the west coast bucket rakers good luck im supporting you
craigy i said the best team won in the end but you must admit hearts and hibs were pish turning point for nade never he is the worst player in the spl im not making excuses both teams were dredful then the referee was dredful you have to admit that was not a sending off hibs new keeper looked good but time will tell ive just read that hearts celebrations after the first goal is being mentioned in the match report as ungentleman conduct and as ive said dek should have been red carded 10 men or not it didnt matter it was a pish game and hearts will never win the scottish cup this year
you cant make excuses about only having 10 men"remember killie mate" the weather played a part but hibs lost there way and composure, as deek proved when he was taken off. im glad nade scored that might be the turning point for him. as for mac-calimity what the f**k was he doing, nade wont get any earier goals in his career. i told you last week that was comming
best team won out of two of the most dredful teams in the spl looking at the two teams today im surprised we are not fighting relagation
