Bullock bemoans 'play-off talk'

Tue 12 Feb, 05:00 PM

Lee Bullock has conceded premature "play-off talk" was responsible for Bradford's defeat to Bury last weekend. The Bantams could have climbed to within seven points of the play-offs had they extended their six-game unbeaten run, but a home defeat by Bury has left them in the bottom half of the table.

Bullock, a free transfer-window signing from Hartlepool, told the club's official website: "You look at the other scores and we would have been right up there. But football's a daft game - just when you think you've got it going, it slaps you in the face.

"We were edgy and I've no idea why. Maybe it was about us starting to talk ourselves up a bit about putting a play-off run together.

"Everyone thought we were going to have a really good end to the season - and we still do. Obviously it's a setback we didn't want but we're going to start again next week."
