Manucho has been left out of the Panathinaikos squad to face Rangers at Ibrox in the UEFA Cup following his African Nations Cup exploits.The on-loan Manchester United striker signed for the Greek side on loan last month but is yet to join up with his team-mates because of his international commitments.
The 24-year-old hit four goals in Angola's run to the quarter-finals in Ghana, where they lost to eventual winners Egypt.
Former Hearts full-back Takis Fyssas has also been left out of the 19-man squad for the UEFA Cup last-32 match along with Spanish defender Jose Sarriegui, who has a broken nose.
Panathinaikos boss Jose Peseiro has vowed to come away from Glasgow with a positive result to take back to Greece for the second leg.
He said: "We know Rangers are a good side as we have watched them recently so we know we will need to defend well when we go to Glasgow.
"However, it is our intention to get a positive result. European football is very important for this club and we want to be in the next round."
