Jason Price struck a fine double to give promotion-chasing Doncaster a comfortable 2-0 win away to struggling 10-man Bournemouth in League One.Striker Price grabbed the first after just 56 seconds as he headed home Gareth Roberts' left-wing cross into the top left-hand corner past Bournemouth goalkeeper Gareth Stewart.
Cherries midfielder Shaun Cooper saw red after picking up two bookings in the space of 11 minutes in the first half.
He was given the red card by referee Andy D'Urso in the 40th minute to leave Bournemouth with a mountain to climb.
Price made that effort doubly difficult when he fired home his second goal in the 70th minute when midfielder Richie Wellens fed him with a fine through ball and the striker fired home from 15 yards.
Bournemouth striker Sam Vokes went close with a header and a right-footed shot, but it was much too little to save them from slipping to only their second defeat in the last six games.
