Burnley boss Owen Coyle hailed Wade Elliott's stunning match-winning strike against Charlton as "worth the admission fee alone" in the 1-0 win.Midfielder Elliott smashed an unstoppable drive past Nicky Weaver from 25 yards out to leave the out-of-sorts Addicks with just one win in seven and Clarets fans dreaming of promotion.
Coyle said: "I thought the goal was worthy of winning any game, not just the finish but also the build-up play.
"It's what we're getting known for and that's what we want, a bit of style about our play, getting the ball down and passing and moving.
"The goal was well worth the admission money alone."
He added: "I think we all realised what was at stake here, if Charlton would have won we would have been seven points behind with not a lot games remaining, it was a real six-pointer and important we came out on the right side of it."
The Burnley boss is predicting a roller-coaster ride between now and the end of the season, with a whole host of clubs still in with a chance of finishing in the top six.
He added: "I think there are two places up for grabs and we are one seven or eight clubs who can make a push.
"We've got another game on Saturday (against Wolves), another six-pointer and we've got to go and try and win it."
Charlton boss Alan Pardew insists there is no crisis of confidence in his squad and felt they should have been returning to the capital with all three points.
He said: "We're very disappointed in the dressing room as we felt we played a very good game, it was an absolute wonder goal when we were in total control, we just need a break and I think we deserve a break.
"If they play with that level of commitment at Ipswich (on Saturday) we'll be okay.
"I thought we were very unlucky, but the performance level will make us stronger for Saturday."
Pardew insists he has no idea how many points the Addicks will need to secure a play-off berth and the former West Ham boss is confident they can turn around their flagging fortunes.
He added: "All I know is that spirit and character in our dressing room is strong and the fans who travelled up here will know we put in a proper effort, it was a much improved performance from Saturday (when they were beaten by Preston) and I feel real sympathy for the players."
