Cheltenham manager Keith Downing hailed a "fantastic win" for his side over Leeds and praised new loan signing Richard Keogh from Bristol City.Goals from David Bird and Alex Russell were enough to earn the Robins a 2-1 win over Gary McAllister's men at Elland Road.
Downing said: "I thought all my players were terrific. We came with a game plan that succeeded and we could have won by more. We created some great chances.
"For Cheltenham to come to Leeds and win is fantastic. We are still not out of the woods, but this result is a real boost."
Keogh, who completed the formalities of his loan from Bristol City in time to make his debut, picked up a first-half booking, but was rock-solid at the heart of Cheltenham's defence.
Downing added: "It was a bit of a gamble playing Richard because he hadn't even trained with us, but he did very well and it paid off."
