Wed 12 Mar, 05:45 PM

Stockport boss Jim Gannon was delighted after two fine finishes from Liam Dickinson helped his in-form side see off local rivals Rochdale 2-0.The Hatters clinched their fourth straight League Two win after Dickinson scored a goal in each half - his 15th and 16th league goals of the season - at Edgeley Park on Tuesday night.

Gannon said: "I'm really pleased that we've earned a clean sheet. It was a difficult game, but all the lads worked hard again throughout.

"We kept a great shape and showed a great work ethic. The two centre-halves [Gareth Owen and Ashley Williams] were excellent too, it was a well-deserved clean sheet for them. It was a fantastic defensive display.

"The wind was swirling around so it was difficult for both teams. If there's one thing that can ruin a game it's the wind. But both teams tried to play some good, incisive football."
