Manager Ian McParland could not fault Notts County's efforts in their defeat to Lincoln and feels they just lacked quality in their final ball.Jamie Forrester pounced on ex-Imps player Paul Mayo's poor defensive clearance to hand the League Two visitors all three points at Meadow Lane on Tuesday night.
McParland said: "The lads couldn't have given any more in terms of their effort and commitment but we couldn't find the goal.
"It was a better performance than on Saturday against Barnet but at least there we got a point.
"Paul Mayo was unfortunate with his clearance as it could have gone anywhere.
"I felt we created a lot of pressure without producing the final ball. They didn't threaten us apart from their goal."
