Carlisle manager John Ward admits his side performed below par in their 2-1 win over Luton but was pleased to get through "a dangerous game".Goals from skipper Danny Livesey and Peter Murphy were enough to give the hosts a sixth successive win despite Luton scoring through David Bell.
Ward said: "We knew it would be a dangerous game. They have good players trying to save their own careers.
"The players are disappointed because their standards are so high. But we won and that's what is important at this stage in the season."
He added: "Luton probably mastered the conditions better than we did. Our performance was poor and below par, but the result was excellent."
