Warnock keen on Morrison talks

Wed 12 Mar, 03:30 PM

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock insists he is eager to tie up a new contract for Clinton Morrison - once he can open talks with the striker.Morrison, who has 14 scored goals this season, will be out of contract in the summer but is thought to be happy to stay at Selhurst Park.

"We're still trying to speak to Clinton - but he reckons his agent was away in America until Monday," Warnock told the South London Press.

"We'll have to wait and see what happens - you can only ask to speak to people."

Warnock is also attempting to strike new terms with skipper Mark Hudson and goalkeeper Julian Speroni, who are also in the final few months of their deals.

Centre-half Hudson was left out of Saturday's win over Colchester after talks stalled.
