Aston Villa v Middlesbrough 19:45

Zat Knight will come in for Curtis Davies who is out for the season with an Achilles injury. That should be the only change from the Villa side that drew with Arsenal as Nigel Reo-Coker is available despite a back strain. Olof Mellberg has also recovered from an ankle problem and will probably make the bench.

Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate must be tempted to make some changes after their awful performance against Cardiff in the Cup. They won't be able to recall Jeremie Aliadiere though, as the French striker completes his controversial four match ban. Andrew Taylor is back in training but will need a reserve game before being considered for the first team.

Chelsea v Derby 20:00

Avram Grant could make wholesale changes after Chelsea's embarrassing FA Cup defeat to Barnsley. Certainly, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard (who were not even on the bench at Oakwell) should return. Ashley Cole is likely to replace Wayne Bridge too, and the likes John Obi Mikel, Salomon Kalou and Alex could also figure. Peter Cech is still struggling with an ankle injury and Carlo Cudicini will continue to deputise if he can't make it.

Derby will recall Robbie Savage to add much needed bite to their midfield. He will probably replace either Emmanuel Villa or Kenny Miller as Paul Jewell reverts from the 4-4-2 that played against Sunderland to a more defensive formation. Dean Leacock is available again after a hip injury.

Portsmouth v Birmingham 19:45

Portsmouth welcome back Jermain Defoe who was suspended for the FA Cup win at Manchester United. He should partner Milan Baros up front in a more attack-minded Pompey line-up. Pedro Mendes also returns and could figure but Richard Hughes joins Linvoy Primus (knee), Noe Pamarot (knee) and David Nugent (hernia) on the sidelines.

Birmingham are set to name the same 11 that beat Spurs 4-1, with Oliver Kapo still out injured and Martin Taylor serving the second game in his three match ban for his now infamous tackle on Eduardo.
