Wing Simon Danielli and hooker Fergus Thomson have been added to the Scotland side for the Six Nations clash with Italy in Rome on Saturday.
Danielli (pictured) comes in for Rory Lamont, who fractured a bone in his face in the upset win over England last weekend, while Thomson replaces Ross Ford, who picked up an injury in the same game.
Although Glasgow Warrior Thomson already has eight caps, Saturday's clash at the Stadio Flaminio will be his first full international start.
Thomson came on for Ford last week and will again pack down alongside props Euan Murray and Allan Jacobsen, who impressed against the vaunted England front-row.
Sale's Scott Lawson has been added to the bench to provide cover at hooker.
Ospreys wing Danielli, who was not in the match squad for the England game, will be winning his 15th cap as Scotland look to follow up on last weekend's victory by closing out their Six Nations campaign with a win in Rome.
"Simon Danielli has played consistently well for some time now and I had no hesitation in giving him the chance to restart his international career," said Scotland coach Frank Hadden.
"Fergus Thomson played really well when he came on against England. He took his opportunity with both hands and thoroughly deserves his first start for Scotland."
Hadden has resisted making any further changes and scrum-half Mike Blair retains the skipper's armband after an impressive performance against England.
Gloucester flanker Alasdair Strokosch also keeps his place on the blindside, leaving captain Jason White on the bench for the second game running.
"Saturday was another indication of the progress we feel we have made," added Hadden, whose side lost their first three games to France, Ireland and Wales.
"After a very poor start to the championship it's vital we maintain that progression this weekend against a side that will represent a formidable challenge."
Italy have lost all four of their Six Nations games and need to defeat the Scots by nine points or more to avoid the wooden spoon.
