Grimsby defender Justin Whittle is to leave the club after being told he will not be offered a new contract and is negotiating an early exit.The 37-year-old centre half is out of contract at the end of the season.
Whittle, who joined the League Two club in the summer of 2004, has made over 130 appearances for the Mariners but has found first-team opportunities hard to come by in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, striker Danny North has signed a two-year contract extension.
