Tommy Spurr admits he has lived the dream this season for Sheffield Wednesday after breaking into the first team. The 20-year-old defender capped an impressive campaign - only goalkeeper Lee Grant made more appearances - with a stunning winner in the home win over Plymouth last month, which was voted Owls' goal of the season.
Spurr told the club's official website: "I think I've improved as a player from last year, which is something you have to try and do.
"I managed to get into the team and stay there after missing out altogether in the first game, which was really disappointing.
"The main highlight for me was my Plymouth goal. It was a vital goal and the reaction of the fans was brilliant, so that was a dream come true for me.
"The fans have been brilliant all season. We showed against Norwich the kind of fan base we have here, hopefully we can have days like that more often."
