Defender Colin Woodthorpe insists Bury manager Alan Knill will have no problems attracting new players to Gigg Lane in the summer. The 39-year-old, who made 35 appearances for the Shakers this term, was one of eight players released at the end of the season.
However, he is predicting a bright future for the club under Knill, who guided Bury to League Two safety after being appointed as manager in February.
Woodthorpe said: "The manager was saying that it would be difficult to get players in because we've been involved in relegation battles.
"But the flip side of that is that he is in charge of a League club and for him what goes on at Bury Football Club starts now."
