Eurosport - Tue, 12 May 08:56:00 2009

1991 world champion John Parrott tells Eurosport-Yahoo! about his love of the Vicar of Dibley.

John Parrott - 0

When were you happiest?

When my children were born.

What is your greatest fear?

Death.

What trait do you most deplore about yourself?

Laziness.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Food. I'll eat anything.

What gets you down?

The children not being healthy.

What is your greatest regret?

Don't actually have any.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

Losing 18-3 in a world final when I had absolutely nothing left and I played against someone who was at the top of his form (Steve Davis).

What is your greatest extravagance?

My golf equipment - it's embarrassing.

What single thing would improve the quality of your life?

Just to keep healthy.

What is on your ipod?

I have an ipod video and have the whole series of Vicar of Dibley on it. Music wise, anything my son puts on that he thinks I'll like. There's all sorts on there from Kanye West to Michael Buble.

Who are your sporting heroes?

From racing - Martin Pipe and Tony McCoy, and from golf - Tiger Woods.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Coming back and winning the World Championships two years after being beaten 18-3 in the final.

Any remaining ambitions you hope to fulfil?

To get my golfing handicap down. I'm currently three but would like to get to scratch.

Does snooker need 'sexing up'?

No! I think snooker is absolutely fine as it is and I think the World Championships showed that.
