Derby midfielder Giles Barnes insists he would be happy to stay at Pride Park if he does not sign for Fulham on a permanent basis.
The 20-year-old recently returned to Derby following an injury-hit loan spell with the Cottagers.
Barnes, who is currently recovering from an Achilles tendon operation, told the Derby Telegraph: "I've been told that Fulham have gone back to Derby a couple of times since I returned - but it's all down to price.
"If it comes off, that would be great - but I'm a Derby player and they've looked after me. I'd be happy to stay here if it's not meant to be."

nobody wants him back at Pride Park anyway. He's not Premiership standard anyway...even if he does think so himself.
If you took the time to read things David w you will notice that these players you are talking about are for the reserves team which is affectivley a young development team , plus the odd player coming back from injury .. i would get your facts straight before you try and be a smart@r$e on these pages
to all the non believers about clough and his signings, just watch and weep.
patience is a virtue.
yeah look at burnley and reading as examples.
neither have or had big expensive star signings and look where they got.
Im cutting and pasting this to shove down the disbelievers throats next season
It will take more than Barnes to save the Sheep next season. The players Cloughie's signing are nearly all non-league and if they wait for a couple of seasons they'll be back there with the Sheep
in reality ..just because he is not throwing silly millions at players means nothing, he is recruiting players who are motivated by what they have yet to accomplish in the game, he,ll also splash a bit of cash as he feels he needs to. Cloughie is planning for the long term .. I feel priveledged to have him at the club.

I wouldnt be disappointed to see Barnes go. Derby have stuck by him and he obviously thinks he can acheive better things elsewhere so we should let him go. He is not in the same league as Huddlestone, that was a real disappointment.
Derby have stood by him through a lot of injuries he should stay and pay back the club and the fans. Too many good players leave derby maybe they should stay for a change and help to get us back where we belong in the premiership
