The purchase of Kaka and massive bid for Cristiano Ronaldo will not lead to Real Madrid being burdened by a huge amount of debt, new president Florentino Perez has said.
Real were given permission to negotiate with Ronaldo after Manchester United accepted a world record bid of £80 million for the Portugal winger on Thursday.
Three days earlier, Brazil playmaker Kaka joined the Spanish giants from AC Milan for a fee reported to be around £56m.
"On the contrary, we think can improve our accounts by aiming for three goals," construction magnate Perez told La Gazzetta dello Sport when asked about the debt issue.
"Increasing ticket sales, increasing bank loans and increasing the club's economic value".
He added that Real generated enough revenue to cover these massive transfer market investments, with more expected to come, without him having to use his own funds.
"(The money) is exclusively the club's, not mine," said Perez, who twice broke the transfer record in taking 'Galacticos' Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo and David Beckham to the Bernabeu in his previous stint as president from 2000-06.
"Real Madrid takes about 400 million (euros) a year, the fruit of three sources of income - a third from ticket sales, a third from television rights and a third from merchandising."

What will the Real Madrid team ends up in 2009-2010 season...i guess they'll play a up side down X'Mas tree formation with 1 Def,2 CMs,3 AMs and 4 strikers. Now they gonna bring Villa and Silva from Valencia and blah blah blah.Who cares? It's Perez we're dealing with.Money Money Money
Has any one noticed how quiet Platini is...whenever the premier league announce a new mega bucks deal with Sky he gets on his high horse about how bad it is for the game, and Blatter goes on about the 6+5 rule then A spanish side spend over £130million on a Brazilian and a portuguese player and silence.....both of them are anti english racists.
although i m not a Man utd fan ... but i had always respected the way Ferguson controlls his team .... i do not think it was a wise decision from Madrid to pay this high cash for a single player .... a team would be built with this amount !!!
i do not expect much success for madrid next season ... i think there will be much conflicts on their front line ... in addition to their weak defense ... !!
THE REST OF THE PLAYERS @ REAL WILL NOT ENJOY PLAYING WITH A PRIMA DONNA. HE WILL BE SHUNNED ON AND OFF THE PITCH. THIS IS HUMAN NATURE. IF HE WAS A BINMAN EARNING TWICE AS MUCH AS ANYONE ELSE DOING LESS WORK WILL EVENTUALLY COME TO A HEAD. REAL WILL BE LOSERS, BUT IT IS FOOTBALL THAT WILL ULTIMATELY LOSE. THE GAME IS NOW TAKEN AWAY FROM THE FANS AND GIVEN TO ACCOUNTANTS AND AGENTS. SAD LOSS TO SEE WHAT WE HAD, NOW GONE FOREVER. WHY NOT INTRODUCE WAGE CAPPING. THIS WILL AT LEAST GIVE THE LESSER CLUBS SOME CHANCE. LFC4EVER
To bassam: you are totally right. Madrid has become the biggest joke of the world, because with those new signings (and the ridiculous amount of money spent on them in a time of a worldwide economic crisis) are going to put so much pressure on a team that is expected to win "everything football can offer" next year. But the truth is that only real teams with good managers are able to do that kind of things such as Ferguson's United in 99 or Guardiola's Barca last season. Same history will happen again; if a bad start occurs, then Pellegrini will be sacked, 1 or 2 more coaches will come in the next season and in the end, Real will be trying to catch up an infintely superior Barca side...
It all comes to this: The news that are related to Real Madrid have to do with world transfer records and how much money they "apparently" have to spend on glory hunters players who in the end only cares for the money they can get ... The news related to Barcelona are about titles, art-football and a real football team with players who loves their shirt, their history and their territory... Visca Barca, Visca Catalonya!
You Madridistas are funny! You never learn. You spend all this money on new 'galacticos', and forget the lessons from the past. You bring all these new strikers without thinking how they will gel. Just because a player is good in one league doesn't mean he will perform in another. All strikers and no defense which is real's problem in first place. Then EGOS EGOS EGOS man. What do you think will happen to your dressing room when the likes of Arrogant Ronaldo, meets up with your special capitanos Raul, or Sergio Ramos ahhhhh! Imagins he and ronaldo share the same right wing. Oh and what about Van Nistelroy, Arjen Robbin and list goes on. Problem with Real is it represents everything bad about Spain - era of franco-facism, machosim, egoism, spend spend spend - while Barca everything one loves about Spain (or Should we compare how Catalyunia is more of a better state) - Barca is about Youth, believing in your own team, players, and destiny, about art and style, about attacking bravely no matter what, about being loved by millions around the world, and about most importantly being ANTI-FACISTA, About being human (see that UNICEF on our shirts) and being the Club with history of today versus Real; a club of yesterday for yesterday. Don't worry Madridistas, BARCA BOYS WORLDWIDE WILL TEACH YOU THIS LESSON AGAIN. VISCA CATALYUNIA and this is from a Canadian boy

don't think La Porta is too nervous more big names in the league makes for better football and you're right Perez should be looking for defenders. Madrid's defense is atrocious. Unfortunately defenders don't sell jerseys....
Barca's president is getting a little nervous, quite jealous also, keeps complaining about the $$$ real's spending, yet he's placing just as heavy prices on the heads of etoo and messi(he has a 200mil euros buy out clause!). Real will definitely have more success come nxt season. but mr. perez needs to pay a little more attention to our defence. we need 2 centre backs and we need a left back to back up heinze when he gets injured, we don't need anymore attacking players at this point.
What is the poin in post 22? Your clearly a Madrid fan in dreamland (not least because you have the world's most expensive player on the bench (doh!))
Go back to Championship Manager
I think all of the Barca fans can s%$# me, cuz everybody said, that Oooh Ronaldo will never go to Real... and see, he did... Kaka? everybody just laughed...never!
Both of them are now smiling in America (brazil and Usa), cuz they are at the BEST team ever...
And this spending spree was long time ago, so now from that main 3 sources (merchandising, TV, Tickets) + shirts, - Real can afford this team next year:
-----------Casillas
.
Maicon-S.Ramos--Pepe-Marcel o
.
----------Lass--Senna
.
C.Ronaldo----Kaka-----Riber y
.
-----------D.Villa
I think that the Royal Club is still ignoring the defence line ,,,, they have lost canavaro,,, salgado is not doing good, and Pepe is very bad tempered and always give the oppenents free gifts,,, also Sergio Ramos gives free gifts to the opponents and goes forward too much,,,, the others are even worse,,,,, the strong offensive line must be backe up by a stronger defence,,,,,,
Real 1st 11 next season:
1. Buffon,
2. Alves,
3. A Cole,
4. Vidic,
5. Ferdinand,
6. Xavi,
7. Gerrard,
8. Iniesta,
9. Kaka,
10. Villa,
11. Messi,
subs.
12. Ronaldo,
14. Torres
CL final Man U 1-2 Barcelona
La liga champs Barcelona,
cup Barcelona
Messi, Xavi and Iniesta to Real!!!
till this day no one is beliving what is going on
i hope perez bring iniesta and eto, that would be a huge shock
how barca fans are felling?
messi is a much better player. and he's almost 3 years younger than him. messi is a god, ronaldo is a false prophet
imagine Real being an absolute flop in la liga and the champions league next year. it wud be the ultimate proof that money cant buy you trophies
I just wonder if that when his autobiography comes out in 10 years or so, whether he will be honest and regret leaving Man Utd. I feel that he wont win as much for Madrid and he did for Man Utd with a constant changing of the manager to boot. In England he had protection and stability from his manager who would not let him get above himself. Now that will change in Madrid and he will realise that Sir Alex Ferguson is the best thing in footbal that could ever happen for him
I love it! now just watch the money merry-go-round! I think its great news for all! except Barca!
