  5. Brian Sharman. Of course he said he would not sell a virus to Real, what do you expect him to have said, "Yes we have sold him and he's leaving for Real in 6 months." That would really motivate the team and fans wouldn't it.

Your point about no comment from the club, you are wrong on that as well. SAF has said very clearly that Man U were lucky to have kept Ronaldo for so long, he wants to leave so there is no point in keeping him. So now you know why he was sold, not a change of mind, just the right time now.

  6. Fergie was spot on to let an unsettled Ronaldo go for £80 million. Now utd can bring in a couple of players, hopefully Ribery and Tevez. Utd will be bigger, better and stronger next season without Ronaldo.

  7. I regretfully have to conclude that SAF and company have been disingenuous concerning Ronaldo's transfer saga. After saying that he would not sell Real a virus as recently as last December, it is plain that the transfer has been concluded between the Clubs without any comment or explanation from SAF or Man U. Further, the Glazers have said that any decision over Ronaldo was left entirely with SAF. Has anyone noticed that no official comment has been made on behalf of Man U explaining the change of mind? If it is simply a matter of the transfer fee, then why not be honest and say so?
