Premier League new boys Birmingham have completed the signing of Coventry defender Scott Dann.
The Blues have paid an undisclosed fee, believed to be a club-record £3.5million, for the 22-year-old after beating midlands rivals Wolves to his signature.
Dann, an England Under-21 international, began his career with Walsall before joining Coventry in January last year. He made 49 appearances for the Sky Blues, scoring four goals including the winner against Birmingham at the Ricoh Arena last season.
Dann becomes Blues manager Alex McLeish's second signing of the summer following the arrival of Ecuador striker Christian Benitez.
Coventry chairman Ray Ranson told his club's official website: "Every player wants to perform at the top level and Scott is no different.
"We know it is very hard to keep a player when he gets the chance to move to a Premiership club because the financial gulf is so great."

McLeish is the man with the plan. Avoiding the bottom 3 will be a stroll in the park.
