Carlisle hails Burnley revolution

Burnley defender Clarke Carlisle has hailed the club`s return to the top flight as the first phase of an "incredible revolution" at Turf Moor.

After a 33-year absence, the Clarets will be playing in the top tier of English football following their play-off final victory over Sheffield United.

Carlisle is relishing the prospect and said: "I'm delighted and I'm honoured to be a part of just lifting the spirits of the town and being part of an incredible revolution."

  1. Completely agree about transfer updates. We (BFC) are­ now in the Prem so it would be nice if it was­ acknowledged!Perhaps being a small club they don't­ think it's worthwhile putting us on the transfer­ details page!
