Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins claims the club has been "left in limbo" over the Roberto Martinez affair and is eager to bring an end to the saga.
Martinez, 35, was due to be unveiled as the new Wigan manager yesterday but remains Swansea's boss after the Coca-Cola Championship club demanded compensation for the backroom staff - including assistant manager Graeme Jones and chief scout Kevin Reeves - he wants to take with him.
But Jenkins told the club`s official website: "Roberto and Wigan were fully aware we wanted compensation for them both, not just to buy out their contracts but for the vast amount of knowledge and experience they hold.
"To lose our manager is bad enough but to think we would also lose our assistant manager and chief scout for nothing in the same compensation agreement as Roberto`s is unfair and disrespectful to our football club and our fans.
"It`s dragged on far too long. We`ve been left in limbo for the last seven to 10 days and it has clearly and severely hampered our search for a potential successor and our preparations for the new season."

well done mr jenkins u tell multy million pound man whelan he paid 2million to get roberto so he should pay 2million each for jones and kellan.these premier league teams think they can boss smaller teams around best wishes for new season from swans supporter
Wigan want to 'bully' SCFC just like ManUre bully Wigan into parting with their best players for nothing. No deal was done over the backroom staff therefore the Pie-Eaters had better come up with the goods or Martinez could be talking with a Glasgow accent by the begining of next week!
Huw Jenkins is perfectly entitled to teach Whelan and the lady Blenda some basic business manners. Trouble is they haved honed their business negotiating skills by dealing with the likes of ManUre and the Ronnie Ronaldo Yo Yo Business School.
