Transfer-listed Peterborough defender Chris Westwood wants to stay at the club and play in the Championship next season.
The 32-year-old has helped Posh climb the leagues as a double promotion winner, but has now been told that he is surplus to requirements.
Westwood is convinced he has the ability to perform at a higher level, and told the Peterborough Telegraph: "I don't see any reason why I couldn't play in the Championship.
"It will obviously be a tougher league with stronger sides than we have come up against in the past two years, but I feel I could do a job."

I suspect that if Peterborough have put you on the transfer list, its because they no longer require your services at the club. So it really doesn't MATTER what you think about your ability. Might be time to tell all the other Championship clubs that you are good enough for that division - perhaps if you're that good someone will sign you?
