Jake Jervis has signed a 12-month contract extension with Birmingham.
The 20-year-old striker was set to become a free agent this summer but will now remain with Blues for at least another season.
Jervis has progressed through the club's ranks, enjoying loan spells with Hereford, Notts County, Swindon and Preston over the past two campaigns.
He has made two first-team substitute appearances for Birmingham, both of which came last term in the FA Cup fifth-round tie at Chelsea and the Europa League play-off against CD Nacional.
Meanwhile, managerless Birmingham are still to make decisions over the futures of captain Stephen Carr and goalkeeper Colin Doyle.
