Barnsley kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 4-1 win at Buxton on Friday night, Jon Macken and Jamil Adam scoring two goals apiece.The Tykes, led by assistant boss Ryan Kidd in the absence of ill manager Simon Davey, blew away the cobwebs at Silverlands.
Mounir El Haimour turned in an impressive performance on his debut, particularly in the second half, as the Unibond League side were seen off.
New-boys Iain Hume and Hugo Colace also made their first appearances for the club.
