United Start With A Win

Sat 12 Jul, 05:09 PM

A goal in each half saw Manchester United start their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 win at Aberdeen.

In a game scheduled to celebrate 25 years since United boss Sir Alex Ferguson steered the Dons to European Cup Winners' Cup glory against Real Madrid, the current European champions proved too strong.

Wayne Rooney earned a first-half penalty, converted by Michael Carrick, before heading in the second after the break.

Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Nemanja Vidic and Gary Neville all had run outs at Pittodrie.

  1. Ronaldo now will be out for about 12 weeks, so most probably he won't be leaving just yet!!! nut if he does leave, i think ManU should get Berbatov, or the legs of Sneijder, Bastian Schweinsteiger, to replace him

  2. Oh man Ronaldo is probably leaving next season, i am sure fans this season will booooooo him out cause of the way he is treating his team and specially Sir Alex Ferguson. Ronaldo is meant to burn in Real Madrid and be overrated

  3. Ronaldo what?! Who??

You're right devil_monsta, Rooney was in the shadows supporting Mr. 42! Rooney is one of the best players, and his skill and fame haven't got to his head, not like it did with Becks, Ruud, and now Mr. Slave! I also think his shadowy run was a result of his recent marriage. He's a married man now, he's got many things on his mind .. let the kid take the ice cream this time, Mr. Slave!! Ronaldo's a joke! A bad one too ...

  5. The reason y rooney didn't score so many goals this season, is because he was too busy setting up Mr.42 goals,SLAVE( hell no he signed for 5 yrs), Ronaldo. Wayne his a world class player and rather versitile too, last time i check he played RB once this season, a striker!!!!!!!! Oh and well done to Carrick too, the pass master.
