Stuttgart goalkeeper Jens Lehmann will make one last appearance in a Germany shirt after being granted a farewell game.The 38-year-old announced his retirement from international football last week after discussions with Germany coach Joachim Low, who now intends to give him a fitting send-off.

"We cannot allow him to leave through the back door," said Low after announcing his first squad without the veteran goalkeeper on Tuesday.

It is speculated Lehmann will play one half of the November friendly against England in Berlin, the scene of his finest moment for Germany when he saved two penalties in a shootout against Argentina in the semi-finals of the 2006 World Cup.
