Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock is not expecting a quick return to action for injured defenders David McNamee and Gary Sawyer. The two full-backs both missed the opening-day draw with Wolves due to hamstring problems and Sturrock confirmed Sawyer in particular could be a long-term absentee.
"McNamee has had a torrid time in the past and he's being ultra-careful, as are we," said the Pilgrims boss.
"We know the standards he can achieve and we don't want him lying on a treatment table for half of the season. We're going to take this one gently.
"Gary has gone to see another specialist. He can't get into sprinting mode at all so he is well off it."
