West Brom midfielder Koren opened the scoring in the 19th minute and added his second in the 74th.

Aleksander Radosavljevic, Andraz Kirm and Zlatan Ljubijankic also scored while San Marino failed to get a single shot at goal.

"We did what we expected before the match, we won. Although we could have scored more goals," Slovenia's head coach Matjaz Kek said.

San Marino are bottom of the group with no points.

The group winners qualify for the finals in South Africa next year, with the eight best runners-up going through to a two-legged play-off.
