Greece beat Germany 84-76 to retain their perfect record of three wins out of three at Eurobasket in Warsaw.
Vasilis Spanoulis starred with a 20-point haul while Heiko Schaffartzik played a key role for Germany, banking 25 points in a stand-out performance.
"Germany played a great game and gave us a lot of problems, they were very ready for this game." admitted Greek coach Jonas Kazlauskas.
"They controlled the tempo, which made it very difficult for us to play them them."
Elsewhere, reigning champions Russia were 65-59 winners over Croatia - thanks to four free throws in the final 13 seconds by Vitalii Fridzon.
Timofey Mozgov led the way with 18 points and eight rebounds and four other players scored at least eight points.
And France overwhelmed Macedonia 83-57 to secure progress to the quarter-finals next week - with coach Vincent Collet admitting it had almost been too easy.
Florent Pietrus and Nando de Colo led five scorers in double figures for Collet's team with 14 points each while Tony Parker, Ali Traore and Nicolas Batum all added 13 points.
"We started very strong. We wanted to put a lot of pressure on them," he said.
"We watched their other games and saw that if they could develop their game that they could shoot, including their big men. And we didn't want them to have their position. And that helped us early and the game was over at half-time."
