Portsmouth assistant manager Tony Adams has admitted the club are monitoring Southampton midfielder Nathan Dyer.Pompey boss Harry Redknapp is keen to secure the services of a right-sided midfielder and has set Adams the task of finding him one.
Adams confirmed he has been impressed by Dyer after watching the 19-year-old feature in Southampton's 3-2 victory over West Brom last weekend.
The Arsenal legend told the Southern Daily Echo: "I was at their game against West Brom but I wasn't watching Andrew Surman - he got dropped.
"I quite like the look of Nathan Dyer and he's one we've been looking at for a while.
"When Harry says "We need somebody on the right, do you know anyone?" I have to come up with options."
