British rider Daniel Lloyd has extended his contract with Cervelo Test Team until 2011.
The 29-year-old (pictured) took fourth place in the general classification at the Tour of Qatar at the beginning of the season and provided strong support for Cervelo during the Giro d'Italia.
He said: "I am delighted to have signed a contract extension with Cervelo Test Team. This year they gave me my first opportunity to compete at the top level of the sport.
"Despite the fact that the team is less than a year old, we already have a great ethos and atmosphere, and I'm really looking forward to continuing with that over the next two seasons.
"I am already thinking about next year's race goals, and continuing with product development and supporting fan access."
Team manager Thomas Campana said: "Daniel is a really strong support rider for the classics group, and he proved at this year's Giro d'Italia that he can also perform the same role in stage races.
"Daniel is very focused on the success of the team, and that is exactly the kind of rider with whom we want to work."
Germany's Andreas Klier also penned a new deal with the Swiss team, extending his current contract by two years until December 2011.

Good for Dan, having secured a pro contract the hard way. Having the coolest kit and the coolest bikes in the peleton is a bonus!
Good for Lloyd but couldnt they have picked a better photo. This shot makes him look like a old man.
