Kaboul hails Hart

Mon, 12 Oct 16:28:39 2009

Younes Kaboul has paid tribute to boss Paul Hart as the former Tottenham defender prepares to face his old club this weekend.

Portsmouth secured their first win over the season before the international break with victory over Wolves. The win came on the back of seven successive defeats and Kaboul hailed Hart as the inspiration behind their success.

"Paul Hart is a really clever man," said Kaboul. "He just keeps going, his head isn't down. He's always looking forward and he gives that to us as well, so that is why we keep going.

"In our first eight games we have lost seven and won one, now we have to forget what's happened before and just keep concentrating on the good points."

Prior to their win at Molineux, Pompey were being talked about as relegation certainties but Kaboul rejected such suggestions.

"We can stay up," he added. "We must forget everything that has happened before and keep going forward to the next game."

  3. This will be a very tough game for Pompey. I would love them to win but after seeing some of our defending lately, I think the likes of Defoe and Keene will tear us apart. I hope not, but we have to be realistic!

    PLAY UP POMPEY!

  6. Look at Spurs this time last season...played 8 had 2 points, 1 less than Pompey have now. Spurs finished 8th so Portsmouth certainly aren't dead and buried yet. I do, however, hope their winning streak of 1 game ends against us!!
