As preparations continue for Suzuki's participation within the 2008 World Rally Championship, the Japanese organisation has made it known that it will be announcing the names of its drivers and co-drivers this Friday, December 14th.
The new Suzuki SX4 WRC car made its apperance this year on two occasions, when Rallye de France – Tour de Corse and the season-ending Wales Rally GB served as real-world test sessions for the team.
Frenchman Nicolas Bernardi was behind the wheel during the Corsican asphalt stages, while Finnish driver Sebastian Lindholm took over the evaluation duties on the muddy trails of the British round.
"Our testing objectives for 2007 have been fulfilled and the experience gained has put us in a much better position than when we began," Team Principal Nobuhiro Tajima said at the conclusion of the Welsh race.
"Next year will be a new start for the Suzuki World Rally Team. Testing is over now and for 2008 a new strategy will begin with a new team," Tajima also declared. "We look forward to our fresh challenges coming up!"
