R's pair may return for Pilgrims trip

Matthew Connolly and Dexter Blackstock are close to returning to the QPR squad for the Championship trip to Plymouth on Saturday.Defender Connolly and striker Blackstock have both been sidelined with back injuries, but the pair were due to train on Friday ahead of the clash at Home Park.

Argentine midfielder Emmanuel Ledesma also missed Tuesday's defeat at Sheffield Wednesday with a knock and is still struggling.

Centre-half Fitz Hall returned from a three-game suspension on the bench in midweek and will vie for a start with Damion Stewart and Kaspars Gorkss.

Striker Rowan Vine (leg) and midfielder Akos Buzsaky (knee) remain long-term absentees.

Skipper Martin Rowlands missed a penalty at Hillsborough as Rangers' league goal drought on the road stretched to 777 minutes.
