Rovers boss waits on Jacobson

Fri 12 Dec, 01:45 PM

Bristol Rovers defender Joe Jacobson is the Pirates' only fresh concern ahead of the visit of Tranmere Rovers in League One on Saturday. The Wales Under-21 international was sent home from training on Thursday due to illness and is a doubt.

Midfielder Chris Lines is available despite nursing seven stitches in a head wound sustained in the defeat to Millwall last week.

First-team coach Paul Trollope has promised changes to his side after losing at The Den. Rovers' defensive display particularly frustrated Trollope so Craig Hinton and David Pipe could be in line for recalls.

Elsewhere, forward Darryl Duffy will be hoping for his first league start since mid-October.

Danny Coles continues to work his way back to fitness following knee surgery. The defender could return to contention to boost Trollope's options ahead of the hectic Christmas schedule.
