Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson came under fire from fans as his team crashed to a 4-2 defeat at home to Macclesfield.
Dreadful defending gifted the visitors their goals and sparked chants for Richardson to be sacked.
To add to his woes, defender Alan Goodall was sent off in stoppage time for a clash with Silkmen substitute Francis Green, who was also red-carded.
Martin Gritton had set Macclesfield up on course for victory with a fine goal in the 23rd minute, but a mistake by Kevin Austin let in Lee Bell two minutes later to fire in the second.
Macclesfield returned the compliment when Sean Hessey blundered to let in Jamie Ward for his 14th of the season in the 38th minute, and the goals kept flowing in the second half.
Another mistake, this time by Chesterfield skipper Robert Page, allowed Gritton to score his fifth in seven games in the 57th minute, but Ward pulled another back 10 minutes later for his 15th of the campaign. But Chesterfield's hopes were snuffed out when substitute Gareth Evans got away on the right and lobbed goalkeeper Trevor Carson from the edge of the box.
In the evening's other game, Lincoln produced a stunning second-half performance to thrash Accrington 5-1 and end their run of seven games without a win.
The Imps fell behind after only 11 minutes when John Miles found the top corner with a long-range shot. Lincoln then had a let off when an effort from Jamie Clarke was blocked on the line.
City were jeered off at half-time but manager Peter Jackson responded by bringing on three substitutes and changing to 4-4-2.
Substitute Adrian Patulea levelled after 68 minutes with a simple tap in after an effort from Ben Wright came back off goalkeeper Kenny Arthur.
Patulea then hit the post with a low shot before Lincoln went in front after 78 minutes when Sam Mullarkey fired in a deep cross which was headed in by Aaron Brown. Five minutes later Brown set up Wright for a simple tap-in.
Accrington then collapsed in stoppage time conceding two more goals. Mullarkey's hard work set up Patulea who slammed the ball home from inside the penalty area. Then Patulea was brought down by Colin Murdock and Lee Frecklington converted the penalty.
