Chesterfield boss Lee Richardson admitted his side never looked like winning after they were overturned 2-1 by a resurgent Brentford.Goals from Gary Smith and Glenn Poole either side of a Jack Lester strike sealed Chesterfield's fate but Richardson reckons they only have themselves to blame.

He said: "I hate this place. I can't stand coming to Brentford - I've been coming here for six or seven years and we always seem to get beaten.

"But it was our own fault. We were second to every ball in the first half and although we got ourselves back into it we never really looked like taking maximum points."
