Bolton midfielder Matt Taylor is keen to see some new arrivals at the Reebok Stadium to help bolster their increasingly threadbare squad.Captain Kevin Nolan and Gretar Steinsson were suspended for Saturday's defeat at Arsenal and Gavin McCann (broken toe), Johan Elmander (hamstring) and Nicky Hunt (foot) all sustained injuries.
Manager Gary Megson has already agreed a loan deal for Zenit St Petersburg defender Sebastien Puygrenier but with eight first-team players unavailable at the Emirates further additions are desperately required.
Next up are Premier League champions Manchester United on Saturday and Taylor said new arrivals would give the squad a boost.
"We've got to nurse the wounded and I'm pretty sure that there will be work going on behind the scenes to strengthen the squad and get some bodies in," he said. "Things probably need to be freshened up around the place and more than anything we need more bodies.
"People saw that we only had four substitutes on the bench and that in itself is not a good situation to be in when you are in the Premier League. We've got to make sure that we get some good players in and I'm sure that the management, scouts and the people behind the scenes will be doing that."
