Port Vale manager Dean Glover has offered a deal to former Millwall midfielder Dave Brammer, who has been released by the Lions. The 33-year-old has been on loan at Vale Park since October, starting four games for the club in that time.

However, following his recent release from Millwall, Glover is set to offer the veteran a contract until the end of the season.

Speaking to BBC Radio Stoke, Glover said: "Now Dave has been released by Millwall I can try and entice him to stay here until the end of the season.

"I'll sit down with Dave and his agent and try and negotiate something."

Brammer first played for Vale in 1999, where he played over 70 games for the club, before moving to Crewe for £500,000 in 2001.
