Southend boss Steve Tilson will be without Francis Laurent and Alan McCormack for the FA Cup third round replay against Chelsea at Roots Hall.Laurent could be out for up to six weeks after suffering a hairline fracture of his ankle during a training session, while McCormack serves a one-match ban after accumulating five yellow cards.

McCormack was due to miss Saturday's League One clash with Crewe, but the match was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

However, Tilson is able to call on Damian Scannell following his return from a loan spell with League Two side Brentford.

In the original meeting at Stamford Bridge, Salomon Kalou's goal looked to be sending the Shrimpers out of the cup only for Peter Clarke's stoppage-time equaliser to earn them a replay.
