Hull defender Ryan France has rejected the chance to join Championship club Blackpool on loan for the rest of the season.The 28-year-old full-back has risen through the divisions with the Tigers but has fallen down the pecking order since their promotion to the Premier League and made just one substitute appearance - in the Carling Cup in August.

Blackpool approached France last week but the player is keen to fight for his place at the KC Stadium and did not speak to the Seasiders.

France said: "I just got informed by the gaffer [Phil Brown] that they wanted to take me until the end of the season.

"I chatted to my agent about it but at the end of the day I want to stay here and prove I am worth another shot.

"I have enjoyed my time here and I want to show the gaffer that I am still good enough. I just want to be part of it."
