Alan King feels Blazing Bailey has a "solid each-way chance" in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham.
The seven-year-old finished fourth behind Inglis Drever in the March showpiece last season before going on to taste Grade One glory at both Aintree and Punchestown.
He has finished fourth in his two runs to date this term, including behind Punchestowns in the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot.
The Barbury Castle handler confirmed he was heading for a rematch with that horse, the current World Hurdle favourite, at Cheltenham on Saturday week.
"He's absolutely fine. The plan is to run him in the Cleeve Hurdle even though it looks to be a fiercely hot contest," he told sportinglife.com,
"Of course Punchestowns and Kasbah Bliss are running but that's the plan and on from there he'll go for the World Hurdle.
"I think he'd have a very good, solid, each-way chance in the World Hurdle. Whether we are good enough to beat Punchestowns I don't know but he'll run his race."
